Lip Synching

You Be Tails I'll Be Sonic - A Day To Remember

Gandhi Mate, Gandhi - Enter Shikari

This was an interesting and educating task from which I now feel much more prepared to film my music video.
The position of the microphone was something that I didn't put a massive amount of thought into therefore I wasn't really aware what proportion of the video I was blocking my from view for, this is something that when actual filming takes place I will pay much more attention to making sure I film from angles that will not block the mouth from view.
I also learnt from the first time I attempted to film this that you have to put a lot more emphasis into your mouth movements to show accurately that you are performing.

  1. Peer Assessment-
www- Gandhi Mate, Gandhi was my favourite out of the 2 lip syncing tasks. You successfully make it look as though you are actually singing the song. You accentuate your mouth movements a lot, which is exactly what the artist would of had to do when he was actually singing the song. You have a natural presence in front of the camera which helps to make your performance more realistic.
EBI- You Be Tails I'll Be Sonic was just as effective and I loved the microphone prop. However, it made it more difficult to see your lip movements. If you was to be the performer within your own music video, I think that would work extremely well as you clearly have established how comfortable you are within this genre of music.

  2. Excellent Peer-assessment here - definitely take it on board! :)

It would be useful if you could write a reflection on what you feel you have learnt from this task (which can also be used for your production diary) Just ensure it is written underneatrh as well.

  3. At the moment, your blog is reaching a LEVEL 1. This is because there is minimal work on there and much of it is incomplete.

In order to achieve a Level 2/3, it is important that you look at the hub and put all missing work on your blog. You must ensure you discuss all work and reflect on its impact on your learning. You need to have a production diary and labels.
